Workshop: The Humannis Deck

The ‘Humannis Deck’ is an illustrated therapeutic art resource in the form of a practice based creative and emotional art prompt deck to be used in a variety of wellbeing settings. Created in response to the need for myth making and our lack of rituals for dealing with modern day issues such as miscarriage, trauma, redundancies, social anxiety and many other modern-day concerns, the deck serves as a means to explore personal and community healing and recovery through creative making.

Inspired by historical objects, folklore (old and new) and modern ritual practices, the deck is a system of meaning designed for the now, a means to facilitate new ways of exploring emotional and creative blocks via expressive making. Intuitively allowing those who use it to explore their life and emotions via the creation of personal and emotive artworks.

In this workshop participants will create artworks as kinds of personal talismans using my magic, spirituality and faith inspired healing cards to intuitively participate in emotional recovery and connection to self. Artworks can be made using a variety of different mediums including clay, collage, crafts or drawing. The workshop will begin with a short outline about the deck and its creation, followed by the opportunity to make personal works.
