Nell Savage
Nell Savage is a South-West based multi-disciplinary artist working across sculpture, photography, and illustration. Taking inspiration from her upbringing on Dartmoor, she explores themes of rural identity and isolation within folk storytelling, often working with repurposed materials to bring together the organic and industrial. Nell completed her art foundation in Bristol in 2025, before being awarded an artist residency with Creative Youth Network, Bristol (2025-2026).

Title of Work: Ghost Stories
Ghost Stories is my ongoing project focusing upon the supernatural stories of Dartmoor that I remember hearing as a child growing up in Devon. These sculptures focus upon the stories of Bowerman’s Nose and Childe’s Tomb; each story is hundreds of years old and has been passed down orally over many generations- a tradition rapidly dying out in the modern day. This work aims to preserve their legacy and pay homage to Dartmoor.
